TIGUM SAUDIA

When homesickness, loneliness and boredom set in
(it doesn't matter which order), one realizes that we humans
are not meant for solitary existence nor were placed on this earth
to be an island. "Naw!" is one chorus I can hear us crying out...
Nor are we people destined to get uprooted from where we all come from and sojourn the mighty orient king's path - the desert - of some two thousand years back in search for a most special star that still brightly shines even to this day in the lives of many who are on a quest for the mighty buck to keep us afloat somehow back where our respective families are which we call home. "Naw!" is some chorus we never tire singing... and rightly so. For no man is an island even if we're clearly some island people who hail from this so-called beautiful paradise, not of Eden, but home we proudly call Bohol. And so here we are, islanders-turned-desert people but nonetheless conglomerate into a much bigger island in the middle of a sand desert we simply call "Tigum Bol-anon." Whether in Saudia or someplace else, we can't help ourselves but shoot for "tapok-tapok" and "tigum-tigum."

Saonz, di man jud maluom! Like it or not, the inkling is like a bomb waiting to explode... but our unique provincial fellowship is one good anti-dote for such inner explosion (hahaha!). So here's Saudi Boholanos' contribution to TBTK 2009:
